Leslie Lichter Appointed as RTA’s Interim Executive Director

Rehabilitation Through the Arts (RTA) recently announced that Leslie Lichter has been appointed as its Interim Executive Director. With her extensive experience as a transformational interim executive, Lichter will play a crucial role in leading RTA through this transition period after the retirement of the organization’s founder, Katherine Vockins. She will also advise RTA’s board in its search for the organization’s next leader.

Lichter has a wealth of management experience spanning both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. These include, but are not limited to, fundraising, program development, marketing and media relations.

Having begun her career in marketing strategy and program development for Fortune 500 companies, Lichter transitioned to the nonprofit world in 2007. Since 2015, she has focused on interim roles. In her previous assignments, Lichter served as the Interim Director of Development at Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, Interim CEO of USCJ (United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism), and Interim Executive Director of a large Westchester County religious organization.
