A Night At The Opera

We have an evening for you!  It will be fun, different, a learning experience!!  And, that is just the start of our Night at the Opera on May 8th at 6:30 PM, here at the Greenburgh Public Library.

Joan Adinolfi Mallory, music educator, will host the evening.  She will be presenting one of the world’s most beloved operas, La Traviata, a story of love, betrayal and death.  You will have the chance to engage in the nuances of opera with an educational side that includes highlights of the opera, synopsis of the plot and biographical information about Giuseppe Verdi, the composer.  You will see snippets of the opera and hear samples of the music.  This informal evening will enable members of the community to mingle while enjoying drinks and appetizers.  When it is over you might even want to get to the Met and see La Traviata.

The event is sponsored by the Greenburgh Library Guild and requires a donation of $27.  All proceeds will go toward the renovation of the Children’s Library and is tax deductible.
