In honor of the memory of Lawrence (Larry) Salley, ArtsWestchester and the African American Men of Westchester are proud to present The Photographer’s Journey: A Tribute to Larry Salley, a retrospective show of Larry’s photographic work. Larry Salley was a modern day “Jazz Man”, being active in numerous organizations and activities. One of Larry’s deepest loves was photography. Wherever Larry went, he was armed with his camera ready to capture that special moment. His photographic oeuvre ranges from exotic landscapes, portraiture, floral abstractions, wildlife, and musical performances. Along with his travels, Larry was also an avid lover of Jazz. His photographs are a colorful documentation of local Jazz and blues musicians that capture the energy and improvisational atmosphere of their performances. The Photographer’s Journey, will be on display at ArtsWestchester from February 23, 2017-March 17, 2017.
