ArtsWestchester, in partnership with the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Section of the New York State Bar Association, is offering a free, professional development session to bring you- up-to date on the distinctions between independent contractors and employees, and the new requirements for working with interns.

Many cultural organizations utilize the services of independent contractors—particularly artists—and interns.  As arts administrators we sometimes lack clarity on what the laws are regarding these workers.

ArtsWestchester, in partnership with the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Section of the New York State Bar Association, is offering a free, professional development session to bring you- up-to date on the distinctions between independent contractors and employees, and the new requirements for working with interns.  We also will reserve time for questions concerning general issues regarding not-for-profit corporations.
